Welcome back! Our week will look like this:
Monday, March 4th - 8th Grade: Founding Father Presentations in the auditorium - these are worth 50 points! Tuesday, March 5th - 7th Grade: Bill of Rights Quiz Wednesday, March 6th - 7th Grade: Voting Rights Assignment p. 40 (students will look at the restriction of voting rights throughout US history, including Literacy Tests, Poll Taxes, and Religious Exclusion) Thursday, March 7th - 8th Grade: View Shay's Rebellion video, Constitutional Convention Notes p. 51, Great Compromise Activity Friday, March 8th - 7th Grade: Finish Voting Rights Activity, begin Supreme Court Decisions Project Last week a flyer went home in Thurs. folders informing students of a "Pi Bee" on Thurs. 3/14. This will be an in-class competition for those interested to see who can recite the most digits of pi from memory. We will also be having many other fun, interactive activities on that day to refresh our memories about what pi is and how we use it to find area and circumference of circles. Don't forget - PD Day for teachers on Monday, 3/11 meaning no school for students! Also, the end of the trimester is this Friday, 3/8! Report cards go home with students next week. Have a great week!
