This week will mark the end of the Founding Father Project for students in 8th Grade, as well as the start of their Founding Father presentations in the auditorium. Two days will be devoted to the presentations, and students are encouraged to be prepared with their note cards when presenting. The grade for the presentation itself will be 35 points in Social Studies class (please see the previous week for the rubric) and 30 points for Reading and Writing. I urge students to volunteer early on - don't put off presenting too long! Seeing others' presentations will give you an idea of what to do when it is your turn to present, but students often get more nervous the more they wait to present. Best of luck to all 8th Grade Students! Monday: 8th Grade - Founding Father Presentations Tuesday: 7th Grade - Global Cultures Notes Wednesday: 8th Grade - Founding Father Presentations Thursday: 7th Grade - Students will begin station work on the aspects of the major culture hearths of the world. Friday: 8th Grade - Students will complete a Constitution Web Quest.

This will be a very important week for 8th Grade Students: this week the Founding Father PowerPoint or Prezi will be due to me by Thursday. I will be contacting any parents of students who do not turn the presentation in due to its importance; turning in the presentation to me on Thursday will allow me to have the presentation ready when students present in the auditorium next week. Please email me with any questions about this assignment.
