Auto7th and 8th Grade Social Studies classes are well into their units on Thinking like a Geographer and 8th Grade is beginning their look into Colonization & Settlement. Last week 7th Grade students began work on their own Autobiography Map, a map of an island that represents them! Students will continue work on this project this week and the finished map will be due Monday, September 30th. 8th Graders will start the week learning about the Columbian Exchange and its impact on the New World.
8th Graders have a Quizizz due by Monday night with the code 757113, make sure it is completed with 100% correct! This Monday, 9/23, is High School night in the cafeteria from 5-7. It's never too early for students to start thinking about where they'd like to go after next year! Mrs. Muldoon (8th Grade ELA) is the key contact at our school if your student has additional questions about high schools. This will be a short week for students as Friday, 9/27 is a Teacher PD Day. Continue Columbian Exchange with Lunch Menu Activity; view "America: The Story of Us - Rebels" and complete video notes Thursday, September 26th - 7th Grade: "What is geography and how can its tools be used to consider relationships between people and places?" Finish work on Autobiography Map, project due Monday, September 30th! Friday, September 27th - No Classes, Teacher In-Service
